Veronica and Jerry Malcher
Laura has been passionate about horses since she was 3 years old. Born into a family of Show jumpers that enabled her to develop extraordinary riding skills and learned to school young horses from start to "star". At only 15 she participated in the Children's FEI Tokyo finals successfully achieving 4th place.
She was National champion as a Young Rider in her home country, Colombia, and in 2009 in the 1.20mt division .
Laura welcomes riders and horses that would like to work with her and reach their full potential.
Jerry was born and raised east of Ponoka. His passion for horses and mules developed as a hobby when his kids decided to go to 4H clubs and got involved in riding. He decided to raise working mules and build carts for them to pull in the Yaha Tinda Ranch south of Sundre. One of his most exciting adventures was to guide and ride throught the Banff national park for three weeks with a large group of family memebers and friends. Without his hard work and determination building the arena, barn, rings and paddock would not have been possible.
Veronica came to Canada in 2006 to meet and marry her sweet heart. Thinking she would never ride again, after a successful career in showjumping and owing a riding school in Colombia, her native country, she has been surprised to see her dream come true owing this beautiful arena in Canada. She welcomes everybody to "Join Up".
